Visakha Puja Day at Wat Rai Khing
Visakha Puja Day is an important Buddhist celebration observed at Wat Rai Khing. It commemorates three major events in the life of the Buddha: his birth, enlightenment, and passing away, all of which occurred on the full moon day of the Visakha month, the sixth lunar month.
On this day, Buddhists gather at the temple, bring flowers, light candles and incense sticks, and participate in chanting and processions. They reflect on the virtues of the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha, and remember the Buddha’s teachings.

Asalha Puja Day at Wat Rai Khing
Asalha Puja Day is a significant Buddhist celebration observed at Wat Rai Khing. It marks the Buddha’s first sermon and the establishment of the Buddhist monastic community.
Asalha Puja Day is celebrated on the full moon day of the eighth lunar month (approximately July). It commemorates the Buddha’s first sermon, known as the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, delivered 2,575 years ago at Deer Park in Sarnath, India.
On Asalha Puja Day, Buddhists gather at Wat Rai Khing and other temples to offer food to monks, novices, and nuns. They also observe the Five Precepts, listen to Dhamma teachings, and practice meditation to purify the mind.

Magha Puja Day at Wat Rai Khing
Magha Puja Day is an important Buddhist Holy Day observed at Wat Rai Khing. It takes place on the full moon day of the third lunar month (March) and commemorates two significant events in the life of the Buddha.
The first event took place after the first Rains Retreat at Deer Park, where 1250 Arahants (Enlightened Saints) spontaneously gathered at the Veruvana Monastery without prior appointment.
The second event occurred in the last year of the Buddha’s life when he delivered the sermon “Ovada Patimokkha,” laying down the fundamental principles of Buddhism.
On Magha Puja Day, Buddhists gather at temples like Wat Rai Khing. They offer food to monks, engage in making merit, and participate in various ceremonies. In the evening, they join the Candlelight Ceremony, carrying flowers, incense sticks, and candles while circumambulating the main chapel three times as a sign of respect.

วันมาฆบูชาเป็นวันสำคัญทางพุทธศาสนาที่มีการเฉลิมฉลองที่วัดไร่ขิง วันนี้ตรงกับวันเพ็ญเดือน 3 ตามปฏิทินจันทรคติ (ประมาณเดือนมีนาคม) และเป็นการระลึกถึงเหตุการณ์สำคัญ 2 เหตุการณ์ในชีวิตของพระพุทธเจ้า
